Why UNIX is Superior
It's no secret - I am a UNIX geek. I also have a firm belief that UNIX is superior to everything else out there. Here's my reasoning behind it.
UNIX is the oldest & wisest OS
UNIX has been around since 1969. That means that as of 2020, UNIX is 51 years old. Windows is 37 years old as of 2020. Let's be real, if UNIX did something wrong, it wouldn't have lasted half a century. This leads me to my next point…
UNIX is the most widely used OS
I'm cheating here a little bit by counting Linux, which is a clone, but UNIX is the most popular and widely used OS in the world. macOS, Linux, BSD, Android, iOS… they all count. There are more UNIX devices than Windows. Period.
UNIX has a rich history
Look at this family tree. This is the tree of stability.
